Fascinated by science and musical composition from a young age, Giacomo Garziano trained as a musician and then as an architect in Florence and Paris. He founded GG-loop in Amsterdam in 2014, with the aim of creating a new organic approach to design and architecture. His first project, the polyhedral house-museum “The Seed of Time” (Altumura, Italy) was a fusion of music, science and art which earned him international recognition. His eclectic approach creates multisensory experiences, with objects becoming an organic extension of the user, lifting the boundaries between humans and the environment. For Roche Bobois, he designed Zephyrus: an extraordinary piece of “transforming” furniture with folding doors, both geometric and innovative, whose name was inspired by a unique butterfly found in North America.
