Designer Marcello Ziliani created Chistera as a series of variations that all feature a beautiful cast aluminium shell with either a polished or lacquered finish. The collection includes a chair and a bridge that have solid beech legs or a cast aluminium central base. The seat can be lacquered or covered with a moulded pad for even more comfort. Having trained as an architect in Milan, Marcello Ziliani works across a wide range of design projects including furniture, lighting and accessories to set and exhibition design. He enjoys the challenge of every new brief, knowing that however impossible it may seem at the outset, “after a great deal of arm-waving in the long run-up, eventually you will always take flight.”
