WONDER
cabinet

W. 120 x H. 150 x D. 50 cm

Designed by Marcel Wanders

The Globe Trotter collection was designed by Marcel Wanders. It was inspired by legendary adventurers and explorers who traveled the world to collect rare objects and discover new cultures. It showcases Marcel Wanders' characteristic openness, freedom and inspiration.

This Wonder Cabinet features a round display that resembles the porthole of a submarine, which lifts to reveal a hidden secret. And there's another secret inside: the interior features the spectacular and vibrant prints from the Globe Trotter fresco that was also designed by Marcel Wanders.

Marcel Wanders

Marcel Wanders is one of the most talented designers of his generation; his works are exhibited in very prestigious museums such as the MoMA in New York and San Francisco, the V&A Museum in London and the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. Cleverly combining historical references and imaginary expeditions, Marcel Wanders imagined for Roche Bobois a collection – like a journey - that is both romantic and poetic.
