W. 12 x H. 35 x D. 6 cm
Designed by Leonard Kadid
The Norro lamp appears as a monolith. It must be fragmented to be illuminated, to reveal its raw architectural form. Made of solid walnut, each of its parts allows for a different lighting position. The discovery of this object is intuitive, its manipulation - immediate. Inspired by brutalist architecture, the lamp appears as an abstract volume. It cannot be identified as a lamp or as any other object, and therefore calls for interaction.
Four main positions are to be explored. A closed position in which the lamp appears as a monolith, a "T" position as a desk lamp with an easy magnetic rotation of the head of the lamp allowing to physically dim the light, an "I" position to create an atmosphere with the light diffused vertically on the volumes and an indirect position to light a painting, a bookcase or a wall.
